The Members
Membership is not restricted to those living in the Whitchurch area, but as with most community clubs the vast majority of our members are local.  We also have members from many parts of Bristol, across the country reaching as far as London, and even a couple from Guernsey.

To become a member of the Social Club you have to be a member of the Folk House Association.  Unfortunately because of the  actual size of the Social Club building we are limited by number and membership to the Social Club for 2002/3 is at full capacity.  We do have a  waiting list which is visited as and when vacancies occur, this being mainly in October of each year following the annual membership renewal, to fill in the vacancies left by those who chose not to renew.

How to Become a Member
Application forms to join the Association and Social Club are held behind the bar (see opening times). These forms when completed are held on file and will be visited as set out above.  Non members are welcome to pay us a visit to pick up an application form, enjoy a drink, have a look around, speak to the members and see for yourself what the club is all about.

If you know a member you may also like to visit the club as an official guest (fee 50p) this is another way to see the working of your local community organisation.

Annual Fees
The annual fees to join both the Association and Social Club are set each year by the elected committees and for 18 months to April 2006 are:

Adults
Children
Senior Citizens

£9.50
£2.00
£2.00.
This is a combined fee to cover both membership to the Social Club and the Association.
All Social Club members will first have to become members of the Association.
These fees will be revised in April 2006 for the following 12 months.

Membership to the Association only is available and will cost £2.50 per adult.
For details of membership please visit the Association website www.wfha.co.uk

Annual Membership Renewal Dates
Social Club membership renewal take place in September of each year and all members visit the club on one of 5 dates set throughout the month.  The Membership Secretary will issue replacement colour coded cards on the evening and members who fail to renew are invited to re-join the waiting list.

Open Days
There are two/three open days each year where non members are welcome to visit the club.  This is again an excellent opportunity to "Have a look inside" and meet the members.  We hope to set out the dates here in the near future.

Club Rules
As with any club we do have a few rules which every member must follow.
